'Tis the season.. but where's the snow?

With December right around the corner, I peek out the window in hopes of seeing swirling snow dancing on my porch.. alas.. all I see is the green, green grass of home! We have had one snowfall mixed with freezing rain, which wasn't fun, but welcomed (by myself, anyway..)

I must admit, the weather has been great for stringing Christmas lights.. so now that we're all done.. we are ready for our crazy Canadian winter!

In case you haven't heard.. one of my designs will be featured in the Feb 2012 issue of Paintworks!! On sale in Dec, you will find my very own creation, and how happy and excited am I right now?! So life is my usual busy.. getting new projects prepared for my students.. painting for Christmas and trying to work on new submissions for the magazine. But oh! how I do love the hustle and bustle of it all!

I hope that you enjoy getting ready for Christmas, and will be ready for Santa!

Enjoy the season and I'll be back before Christmas!

I couldn't help but gather my ladies together one more time. We met this past Tuesday evening and OMG! I swear to you.. it was very therapeutic! I had been so busy creating and painting.. that I forgot how important it is to share my love of painting with these wonderful, talented ladies. I believe fun was had by all and they painted the most beautiful projects! If I can.. I may squeeze another class in next month..=)

Now.. to decide what projects to start in the fall!! I have MANY ideas.. but they need to come together. If all goes well, I may have two classes per week. Once you start this wonderful art.. you won't want to stop. I absolutely love what I do.. Now if only I could quit my day job and really jump into it.. ahhhh... but those university bills are expensive.. so back to work I go! For now.... ;-)

Enjoy the rest of the summer and I'll be posting again close to Sept!

I managed to get three painted projects done for our painting classes.. (this should keep me out of trouble for a while!) The ladies are still very happy to come to class and the more classes we have, the better we get to know each other and the more laughs we have! I love painting class time! =) They are doing so well!! I'm very proud of my ladies!

Well.. off to open some windows and listen the birds chirping away! Talk to you soon! =)

We brought in the new year with my husband's brother and his wife, which I hope means that we will see a lot more of them throughout the year! I especially loved being in their beautiful home, downtown, overlooking the city and the water. The view truly was incredible and left me in awe. Having grown up in an apt in Montreal, I never relished the thought of returning to another one, but having said that, my mind has since changed and I could get very comfortable in their home!

Another new year of projects, painting and meeting new friends!! To all, I wish you health and happiness!!
