I've been diligently working (time permitting) on a variety of designs that I want to offer as Pattern Packets.  I have almost completed my first one and hope to have it done by next weekend.  I have several others waiting to go.. two more spring/summer and several winter ones! (My fave!)  I want to get them all out as quickly as I can. =)

I have been asked to paint a dresser to be given as a wedding gift, this summer.  I have been given an idea of what style the bride-to-be likes, and will be designing something for it soon.  After looking around for a beautiful antique piece, I finally came across one for sale and am picking it up on Friday night. I'm soooo excited!!  The lady selling it and I have been emailing back and forth and I think it may turn into a friendship! Isn't it funny, where you find some friends?! =)  I will post a picture of the dresser as it is now (it's very nice and doesn't need any modification, but alas, it doesn't hold the "style" of the Mrs.)  So paints.. here I come!  Be sure to check back, because I will be posting pictures of my project as I go along.. Think of it similar to "Sarah's House" only it will be "Linda's Dresser"! For those of you who don't know "Sarah's House", it's a home design show on HGTV hosted by designer Sarah Richardson.  Love that show!!

You will find the above, by clicking the tab on the left, "Upcoming projects".  Although it's really not "upcoming" as it already is in progress (although just starting..) but that's the only tab where I thought it would fit in!!

For those of you who are cringing because I will be altering a beautiful antique from it's original state.. please don't fret.  It's okay to paint wood.. =)  I've had to overcome this myself! =)  I hope that you will come back to see my work in progress!

I have a few more landscape lessons left to go, but had to put them aside for the moment.. too many things on the go.. finishing the basement.. work.. sketching.. work.. (Did I say work?) But I plan on finishing them when I have some free time, as they are totally fun and I'm learning a lot of different techniques that I can use in my own style of painting.

Have a wonderful few weeks and enjoy Spring now that it has sprung!
